Issue:
If you receive a ***DATABASE CONNECTION ERROR*** when logging into the application, or when performing a task in the application, there is an issue with your network.
This error means the application cannot connect to the SQL database.
- This has nothing to do with the application. It means the network is denying access to the database.
- If this is happening intermittently, it means the network is flaky.
Resolution:
Analyze your network, looking for a bad piece of hardware on the network. For example, a bad or intermittent network card on the network can produce a broadcast storm that will effectively bring communication down.
