Evosus Mobile Services version 4.1.1 - Release Notes

This version of Evosus Mobile Services only works with Evosus Legacy Software version 6.6.500 or higher. Click here for information on installing version 6.7.xxx.

We added a depart message

If the customer has a cell number or email address set up in Evosus Legacy Software, you can send them a message when you depart from their location. The default text of this message can be set up in Evosus Legacy Software, and then customized by the tech before it is sent. This works just like the On My Way, and Arrived messages.

You must be connected to the internet to use this feature. That means you need to be connected to Wi-Fi, or have data usage enabled on your device.
  1. In Evosus Legacy Software, set up the standard message text using the Mobile Dashboard (Administration > Mobile > Mobile Dashboard > Arrive/Depart Message tab).

  2. On your mobile device, click  and select Schedule.

  3. Click on a scheduled task. The Task Detail screen appears.

  4. Send a text.

  • If there is a cell phone on the customer record, the Depart button appears in the Text section.

  • Click this button to send a text message to the customer. The text message will automatically populate with the standard text set up in Evosus Legacy Software.

  • Depart button doesn't appear on the mobile device - The Depart button only appears on the mobile device if you have the standard text entered on the Mobile Dashboard (Administration > Mobile > Mobile Dashboard > Arrive/Depart Message tab).

  • How do I add a cell phone to a customer record? - In Evosus Legacy Software, go to Customer > Open a customer > Contact Info tab > Click Option in the Phone section > Select Add > Select Cell in the Type field, and then enter the phone number.

  1. Send an email.
  • If there is an email address on the customer record, a Depart button appears in the Email section.

  • Click this button to send an email to the customer. The email will automatically populate with the standard text set up in Evosus Legacy Software.

Monitor Arrivals/Departures

We added a new Mobile Check-Ins screen (Administration > Mobile > Monitor Mobile Arrive and Departs) that shows when your techs arrive and depart from their scheduled tasks. If a tech has internet access, this screen will update immediately.

  • Task Status doesn't update until the sync - The Task Status column on the Mobile Check-In screen will not update until the device is synced. That means you can see that a tech has departed from a task, but the Task Status is still Sched.

Barcode scanner currently does not support UPC-A format

Currently, the barcode scanner in Evosus Mobile Services does not work on UPC-A formatted barcodes. A UPC-A barcode is a 12-digit barcode where the first digit identifies the numbering system. This issue will be fixed in a future release.
